• July 6th - July 10th: Opening Explorer Camp

  Learn how to play the beginning of your chess game flawlessly! Stop pushing your pawns randomly and learn to take control of the opening phase at this camp.

Rose City Chess is offering half-day and weeklong summer training camps in Beaverton this July! Come join other chess-loving kids for an afternoon of lessons and games.

Hope Chinese Charter School: All Beaverton Summer Camps are held at 3500 SW 104th Avenue Beaverton, OR 97005 from 12:30pm to 4:30pm

Camps include:

• FREE USCF Scholastic Membership for new and renewing members.

• USCF Rated Tournaments with Trophy Prizes for top performers

• Lessons and Game Analysis from Oregon’s top players and coaches

• Camp Awards for Every Student

Our training camps are fun, focused, and completely immersive. Each day includes dedicated time for structured lessons, puzzles, studies, game analysis, and USCF rated games. We include breaks for less strenuous (and more silly) activities.

All camps are 100% in-person. Students will be grouped according to playing strength. Students receive puzzles and training materials suitable for their level.

Ages: 2nd-8th grade (Exceptions can be made for 1st graders with chess experience - email admin@rosecitychess.com to discuss)

Cost: $299 for five-day camps

Lunches and snacks are not provided, so please send your own. We do often have a special treat though in the afternoon.
