October Webinar with Neev: Key Principles for Attacking Opposite-Side Castled Positions- Puddletown FREE Webinar

Welcome to Pudddletown’s 2025 October Webinar hosted by founder Neev Kodarapu

During this interactive session, Neev will share some key strategies to help our young chess players improve their games.

Key Tactics and Strategies and takeaways:

Pawn Storms Are Powerful Weapons: Launch pawns toward the enemy king (e.g., g4–g5–h4–h5) to open lines and restrict defense.
Time Is Critical: Attack fast—every tempo counts. Delay can mean losing the race to checkmate.
Open Files and Diagonals: Use open files for rooks and diagonals for bishops/queens to penetrate defenses.
Sacrifices to Open Lines: Sacrifice pawns or pieces (e.g., Rxc6, Bxh7+) to break through and expose the king.
Coordinate Your Pieces: Bring all attackers to the target zone—knights, bishops, rooks, and queen working together.
Watch for Counterplay: Stay alert to your opponent’s attacking chances; defend just enough to stay ahead.
King Safety Is Relative: Your king may look exposed, but if your attack is faster, it’s often safe enough.
Use Tactical Themes: Look for pins, forks, discovered attacks, and mating nets to finish the job.
